Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of jobs will I be doing day-to-day?
Typical days include a mix of small repairs (door adjustments, tap fixes, lock changes), fixture installations (shelving, blinds, TV mounting), and property maintenance visits. You might have 4-6 jobs in a day, all within our local coverage area.
Do I need electrical qualifications?
It's not essential, but Part P or basic electrical skills are a bonus. We handle electrical work through qualified electricians, but being able to do simple tasks like replacing sockets is useful. We can discuss training if you're interested.
Will I be working alone or in a team?
Mostly you'll work independently, managing your own jobs. But you're part of the wider Rosebourne team - there's always support if you need it, and larger jobs might involve working with our plumbers or other tradespeople.
What's the interview process?
It's straightforward: a chat with Will to discuss your experience and what you're looking for, possibly a quick practical assessment, and a trial day to make sure we're right for each other. No bureaucratic hoops.
Is there opportunity for overtime or weekend work?
There's flexibility for those who want it. Some customers prefer weekend appointments, and there's occasional emergency work. But it's not mandatory - we respect work-life balance and won't pressure you to take on more than you want.
