Under HMRC Notice 701/7, wet room installations for people with a qualifying disability or long-term condition are zero-rated for VAT. That's a 20% saving applied directly to your invoice — not a rebate you have to claim back. You don't need to be registered disabled; a letter from your GP or occupational therapist is sufficient. We handle the declaration paperwork.
Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) — Up to £30,000
The DFG is a means-tested grant from your local council to fund home adaptations including wet rooms. In our area, applications go through Wiltshire Council or Test Valley Borough Council. We work regularly with occupational therapist referrals and can provide the quotes and specifications needed for your application.
