Wet Rooms
& Walk-In
Showers
Done properly. Fully waterproofed, correctly graded, and built by a plumber — not a panel fitter.
Why Choose Us
A Bathroom That Works For You
Wet rooms and walk-in showers aren't just about mobility. They're for anyone recovering from surgery, planning ahead for later life, caring for a family member, or simply fed up with climbing over a bath. They're also a smart use of space in smaller bathrooms — no tray edges, no curtain rails, no mould-trap shower doors.
Whatever your reason, we'll build it properly. That means full waterproofing, correct drainage falls, and thermostatic valves fitted as standard — not bolted on as an afterthought. We work across Andover, Marlborough, Hungerford, Tidworth, Pewsey, and the surrounding villages.
Wet Room vs Walk-In Shower
Both are good options — the right one depends on your floor construction, budget, and how you want to use the space.
Wet Room
The entire floor is waterproofed and graded to a drain. No step, no tray, no threshold — completely level access.
Walk-In Shower
A low-profile tray (25–40mm) with a glass screen. Slightly easier to install on timber floors where full grading is trickier.
Not sure which is right for you? We'll assess your floor on the first visit — no charge. We'll tell you honestly which option suits your property and your budget.
What'sIncluded
Every wet room and walk-in shower we fit includes these as standard — not extras you have to ask for.
Full Tanking & Waterproofing
Complete floor-to-wall waterproofing using liquid membrane and taped joints — no shortcuts with silicone.
Linear Drain with Proper Fall
Precision-graded floor with linear or point drain — water goes where it should, every time.
Thermostatic Anti-Scald Valve
TMV3-rated thermostatic mixing valve fitted as standard — keeps water below 43°C to prevent scalding.
Non-Slip Flooring
Slip-resistant tiles or vinyl with verified grip rating — specified for wet, barefoot use.
Grab Rails & Fold-Down Seat
BS 8300-compliant grab rails and optional fold-down shower seat — positioned for real-world use, not just ticking a box.
Full Project Coordination
We manage the entire job — plumbing, tiling, drainage, and electrical liaison — so you deal with one person, not four.
Why Go Local Rather Than a National Mobility Company?
You Know Who's Coming
No salespeople. No mystery subcontractors. You speak to Will, Will does the work, and Will comes back if anything needs attention. One person, start to finish.
Proper Plumbing, Not Panel Fitting
National companies often fit pre-made wall panels over existing tiles. We strip out properly, tank correctly, and tile to a real finish. It's a plumbing job — and we're plumbers.
No Sales Pressure
We don't do home visits with "special today-only prices". We give you a fixed quote, leave you to think about it, and the price is the same whether you call back tomorrow or next month.
G3 Certified & VAT Registered
G3 qualified for unvented hot water systems, CIPHE member, City & Guilds qualified, and VAT registered — so we can apply 0% VAT relief for qualifying disability adaptations directly on the invoice.
VAT Relief & Disabled Facilities Grant
Save up to 20% on your wet room installation
0% VAT on Disability Adaptations
Under HMRC Notice 701/7, wet room installations for people with a qualifying disability or long-term condition are zero-rated for VAT. That's a 20% saving applied directly to your invoice — not a rebate you have to claim back. You don't need to be registered disabled; a letter from your GP or occupational therapist is sufficient. We handle the declaration paperwork.
Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) — Up to £30,000
The DFG is a means-tested grant from your local council to fund home adaptations including wet rooms. In our area, applications go through Wiltshire Council or Test Valley Borough Council. We work regularly with occupational therapist referrals and can provide the quotes and specifications needed for your application.
We work with OT referrals regularly. If you've already been assessed, send us the OT report and we'll quote to their specification. If you haven't started the process, we can advise on next steps.

Common questions about our wet room and walk-in shower installations
How long does a wet room installation take?
Most wet rooms take 7–10 working days from strip-out to completion. Walk-in showers with a low-level tray are typically 5–7 days. We'll give you a clear timeline before work starts, and we don't disappear mid-job.
How much does a wet room cost?
A full wet room conversion typically ranges from £6,000 to £10,000 + VAT depending on room size, tiling choices, and whether the floor needs structural work. Walk-in showers with a low-level tray start from around £3,500 + VAT. We provide a fixed-price quote after the first visit — no surprises.
Can I get VAT relief on a wet room?
Yes. If you have a qualifying disability or long-term condition, the entire installation can be zero-rated for VAT under HMRC Notice 701/7. That's a 20% saving applied directly to your invoice — we handle the paperwork. You don't need to be registered disabled; a letter from your GP or OT is enough.
What is the Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG)?
The DFG provides up to £30,000 towards home adaptations including wet rooms. It's means-tested and administered by your local council — Wiltshire Council or Test Valley Borough Council in our area. We work regularly with OT referrals and can guide you through the application process.
What's the difference between a wet room and a walk-in shower?
A wet room has the entire floor waterproofed and graded to a drain — there's no tray or step at all. A walk-in shower uses a low-profile tray (usually 25–40mm) with a glass screen. Wet rooms suit solid concrete floors; walk-in showers often work better on timber joists where a fully graded floor is harder to achieve.
Do you fit grab rails and safety features?
Yes, and we think about placement properly. Rails need to be where someone actually reaches when off-balance — not just where they look neat. We fit stainless steel grab rails, fold-down shower seats, and anti-scald valves as standard. Everything is BS 8300 compliant.
Why should I use a local plumber instead of a national mobility company?
National companies often use salespeople who quote high and subcontract the work. You don't know who turns up, and the person fitting your wet room may never have met the person who sold it. With us, you speak to Will, Will does the work, and Will comes back if anything needs attention. No commission, no pressure, no middlemen.
